  1. Well it looks pretty nice, apart from the Asian date font. Due to the case back, bracelet and HEV, I think it's our old SOSF with a different dial combo? Not exactly an accurate rep. The pearl looks much better though!

A genuine can be found second-hand ranging from Euro 700,- and up....It's sort of a starters Breit IMO ;)

The rep would make a nice daily beater! .... too bad the price is way too steep (especially considering the ETA is probably a clone)

  2. Not much for show and tell on this one, the movement was fully serviced, but that's hard to appreciate via a post...

The dial and hands and pearl were relumed in C1 Super Luminova. On the dial I was able to remove the original lume from the markers, and re-fill the markers with C1. So I managed to get a good quantity of lume installed.

Overall pics after the servicing, yes, this is a running seconds at 3 model, but they are very well made as was stated in my review of this movement.

Ran into the normal issues with any A7750, but had an extra twist on this one in that the hacking lever ended up jamming up the keyless works, of course only after the watch was completely assembled and being tested. It wasn't practical to completely disassemble the movement and start all over again since I couldn't determin if the lever was defective, if the slot for the lever was machined wrong, or if there was something not quite right with the keyless works, so I removed the hacking lever completely to fix the jamming. Not that that is simple or easy either, but spending another 4-6 hours re servicing a movement just serviced, with no idea if I could fix the defect didn't appeal to me at all.

Great job on the lume Rob!! I just got my Skyland V2 back from my watchmaker who said he encountered the exact same thing with the hacking-lever. He also removed it (background info). So it seems more a7750s suffer from this same problem...

  3. Indeed, I remember him making that comment, but, when asked if it was possible to then damage the movement by forcing it past the point of the complete wind, I don't believe he answered. As I said before, the PVD crown appears fine in its connection to the stem, and, when inserted into my 113, was able to wind the movement smoothly and without problem. When I inserted the 113 crown into the 111g movement, the same issue occured when winding. I can only conclude that there has been damage sustained to the part of the movement which engages on the 'square end' of the stem (possibly the clutch wheel?)

Thanks for the input, but I think the fitting of the 113 crown into the 111g movement ruled out the possibility of it being a crown/stem fault, as there was nothing wrong with that crown, yet the issue persisted with the movement :(

It's not a problem though, I'll just replace the movement when I get the chance :)

You are right. Then you've ruled out the crown/ stem combo. I would take it to a watchmaker, it's probably a cheap fix.

And to avoid these things in the future.. stay out of the gym :showoff:

  4. Cool story. I encountered something simular with my Skyland V1 ;). Because our reps look so damn good people don't believe it are reps... even if you tell them.

Rule#1: Tell people your replica is a replica, then they will think it's a genuine B)

  5. Guys why do you keep mentioning He-valve, it does not have one. The only thing that matters is construction of the pushers if it is the same as gen with the appropriate seals present -> it should be pretty water resistant then.

Now the question is - who wants to take V2 apart and look at the pushers construction? lol.

Why don't you read the other posts in the thread? ...

Great watch and very well constructed (see my signature for details)
  6. Possibly you could install a gen dial, but the subdial spacing would be way out, unless you had a gen movement of course, I think this only applies to the moonwatch, as the A7750 six nine twelve configuration is apparently spot on. That's as much as I know :)

    Correct.

Moonwatch: Only gen dial in combination with gen movement.

Speedmaster Automatic (a7750): Gen dial possible.
