  1. but i think it cant be that hard to transfer seconds @9! they did it with the asian movements, so i dont see why this shouldnt be possible with an eta!

but i doubt we will ever see eta pam's (besides the 6497)

The 7750 is a more complex movement which is why it commands the higher price.

its still asian made, and most of them are of crappy quality! still no justification for the high price! the ETA's which are assembled in asia still have well made parts (up to swiss standarts)

  2. what do you guys think, why are asian 7750 watches more expensive (around 100$ more) than ETA powered watches (non-chrono eta's!)

Okay, the 7750 is a chrono movement, but it still is asian and i dont believe the manufacturing costs are higher for those movements then for swiss eta's!

regular asian automatic movements are like 3$, so WHY are those 7750's so expensive and STILL so bad?

  3. i was going to buy one once, but they were WAY to expensive back then... a 1000Mhz P3 with 256 RAM was like 3500-4000$ and the one i ended up with (regular laptop) has a 1.5Ghz Centrino, 9700pro gfx, 512 ram and so on and was only 1200$

  4. how much is it in the UK? it's 199euros in germany (usualy stuff is a lot cheaper over here compared to uk prices!)

i got mine for 280euros from japan (value pack with an extra game) a looong time ago!

  5. i have one... if you want to watch movies, get it in the UK, because movies have region codes and you wont be able to play uk movies with a US psp. it doesnt matter for games though!

PSP is a lot of fun, especialy with wlan and the webbrowser... but unfortunatly there arnt very many interesting games out there yet (i have ridge racer, US Navy Seals SOCOM, GTA) i'm waiting for resident evil and tekken for the PSP

  6. Diesel Jeans are great! the only ones i wear, pretty expensive though! but they sit&fit perfect!

replica diesel/replica jeans in general SUCK bigtime, not comparable to genuine diesel jeans! you get what you pay for.

the color will fade, the buttons will break (because they are made differently, diesel buttons are almost impossible to break), you'll be disappointed after a while!

as for the price, those diesel jeans cost the same almost everywhere! even in 3rd world countries you pay 200$ for a pair of genuine ones. the older models are usualy cheaper... i once got a pair which was 4 years old for 60$ at an end-of-season sale

  7. The Zigmeister did a DAMN good job on my grandfathers Junghans. It was all messed up with one of those flex-o-fit wristbands... terrible! The Zigmeister replaced the Glas, cleaned the dial, polished the case, serviced the movement and relumed it... and i added a Aligator Strap a gold deployant from the watch prince.... and it looks soooo beautiful!!

it just has a smal diameter and is probably smaler than a daytejust but i still love it (you have to get used to it though after wearing a fiddy!)

  8. its a pre 2000 daytona, they have seconds @9 and non-elevated subdials! spacing and running seconds @9 is correct for that watch

and even with caseback open you couldnt really tell if its gen or not. freddy and river build those pre2000 daytonas with genuine zenith movements and rolex rotor, sometimes gen case and dial... almost impossible to tell!

  9. What makes you think Paul will actually get it. He may but he has posted pictures of things he never got before. Take the fourth edition 1950 (i.e. the right one). :)

he had the 4. edition, but afair its sold out! those engraved movements are very rare now, i dont think they are being produced anymore!

  10. hey,

i revieced a replacement for a faulty fiddy today (some of you might remember the "blender-fiddy") and the movement inside seems to wiggle around when i shake it. other than that the watch is fine and since i dont wanna bother the dealer again, i thought maybe someone here can tell me what might be wrong, before i open the caseback or take it to a watchmaker.

the screws which are supposed to keep the movement in place seem to be fine!!

  11. to me it sounds like a sick joke from a mod over at TRC

it might not be one, but especialy the "liquor" and all that stuff... i mean if gran edited posts of nanuq, maybe someone else thought, "hey, lets do the same with his post to teach him" or something...

    just a thought!
