  1. I don't want to spoil your party but the bracelet on Silix's SMP is way better. The sides are supposed to be brushed instead of polished and the end-link of the OMES014 is made out of 9 pieces whereas the other one is made out of 1 piece (judging from you pictures). Not only the bracelet but the entire watch (OMES014) is much much closer to the gen. As fas as I know the only real tell signs are the screwed bracelet (instead of pins), the misaligned bezel (which can be fixed) and the HEV position.....

  2. Very nice watch!

Where did you get it? What did you pay for it? How much are the shipping costs to the netherlands? How long does it take for shipping? Is the rubber strap really nice?

    Welkom mede hollander!

Do some reading on the forum... you will learn and know all in good time. Start reading the pinned topics in every section and look at the dealer galleries. Use the search button if you want to know something. Almost every question can be answered this way.

  3. Olive oil is too thin. It wil drip all over the place and ruin the movement. Just use a small amount of ball baring grease (available at all hardware stores). Apply a small amount of grease in the gap where the ball bearings are located. You can use a toothpick (make it flat on 1 side) and just smear it in. Don't put in too much grease as it can couse drag making it hard for the rotor to spin and thus not winding properly anymore. When done right you can't see any grease when looking in the gap, not even with a loupe. So it's a very small amount, I think it equals 4~5 needle points. Then wipe the rotor clean and turn the rotor a couple of turns with your finger so that the grease gets evenly applied. I've done it to all my 7750s and it works like a charm... it reduces to noise with 90%!

  4. regarding the AR, this version has only 1-sided AR on the inside of the crystal, it's quite light, doesn't really do a good job like the gen of course, but it's just there to show the bluish reflection on certain angles.

The gen also has single sided AR and it's even less noticeable as the rep's. The gen's AR is more pink/plum.

  5. Today I did a 'professional' test with my self made pressure tester. It passed the 6 ATM test so it can be stated it's safe for swimming :tu: . Considering it doesn't have a screw down crown it is pretty sweet....I did however greased all the seals and tightened the case back.

  6. I've bought many reps over de past years and received so many DOA or in really bad condition I lost count. Last year I was one of the first to receive the ultimate BCE (pre-order from Angus) and got one with a dented clasp, gaping end-link and crown that didn't screw down.

I made a desicion. No more Azian based dealers for me. I NEVER bought another rep from them again. All my reps came directly from Precious Time after that... sure no guarantees but a big step forward. Now, I made my first purchase with Eurotimez whom I got to know very well. He is setting a new standard... a standard which should be applied by all dealers if you ask me. Nothing out of the extraordinary, just something we are all entitled to!

It makes me sick when I read all the ass kissing of some members. Like we should be gratefull they're selling us a rep. No f#cking way. I pay hard cash and you beter give me something in return. Sure I know all the stories; reps are reps and don't forget the line of hobby we are in crap. It doesn't give them the right to sell us crap. Customer is king and this also stands in our hobby IMO.

I Like this hobby for 1 reason:

-I get the same quality watch for a fraction of the retail price. To me reps wear and feel like gens. I've owned several gens and sold them all due to the fact reps gave me equal or even more joy than the gen.

So when I have to pay major bucks (e.g. HBB >$1000) for a rep which comes with several quality issues and a unreliable movement (A7750 or ETA clone) there's no reason for me anymore to buy rep. I will start buying gens again instead. As most of the people here we all can afford the gen counterpart......

  7. Having an issue with my new JLC turby ($648+shipping) <_<

The PR did'nt work (looks like the PR hand rubs against the dial and scratch the hours indicators) !

Furthermore, the lumes hours dots on the dial were missing !

Bullsh*t... for that kind of money it has to be flawless! Every idiot can spot missing lume hour dots on the dial.

'Did a QC himself ' my ass!

  8. I genuinely do QC, as you can read in my signature. This is an very interesting post, I just made some policy regarding what to expect and what -- not.

Isn't this guy GREAT! He's setting a whole new standard!!

Believe me Chris, you're going to need 5 assistants ;).

  9. ok, i just threw up in my mouth the SWISS collection http://www.swissexpert.net/Omega_replica.html

    900!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for a standard pam!!!!

    750!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for a Planet Ocean -

    DON"T WORRY - second watch is 30% off -

This is not the site I linked. I find it rather entertaining that some of you think the Zentiths are gens. Even the square one. It can clearly been seen if you look at the back. The other square Zeniths have the some better pictures of the back and movement. Sure the prices are ridiculous, but the watches look OK. Don't compare them them with our super reps, that ain't fair. Sure the Grand Open has a different cut-out, what do you expect from a $75 watch? When on a nice black croc this watch would look very nice IMO.
