  1. I think she doesn't know what she's talking about.

LV might go out of production, and the current 16610 because there's a sequel coming up in 2010. I'd believe if she said that Explorer II is going out too... but definitely not GMT Master II, one of the bread & butter models. Sounds completely insane to me.

  2. I was talking with my local AD about this yesterday. She also said that the new GMT Master C will be either going into very limited production or no longer made some time soon!

I seriously doubt this. Why? It's a new model and a replacement for the 16710, which was one of the bestsellers in the Rolex catalog. Did she mention any reason for it? GMT has traditionally been a "volume model" for Rolex.

Maybe she mixed it up with some other model.

  3. Your post was moved because you posted a dealer review of Eurotimez / a pictorial of your ROLEX Submariner here. General discussion is not the correct place for your personal dealer experiences / pictures of a Rolex. We have brand-specific subforums for that. It's called "Rolex Section"... or alternatively a "dealer trade reviews" section.

I moved your post to "dealer trade reviews", (Eurotimez) because you already posted a pictorial of your Noobmariner to the Rolex section... so your 2nd post was a duplicate. There's no need to post anything twice.

PS: Welcome to the forums, have fun!

  4. Here are the new US prices for Rolex.

    Sea-Dweller: $6400

    LV Submariner: $6400

    TT Submariner: $9300

SS GMT Master II C: $7000

TT GMT Master II C: 10350

    Explorer: $5050

    Explorer II: $5925

    Deepsea: $9250

    "Rolesium" Yachtmaster: $9450

    Milgauss: $6200

    Milgauss Green XTL: $6575

    SS Daytona: $9925

  5. Wow, I love that watch so much I might just pick one up. Its really between that and the SLR Tag, but after these pictures I might just with the Aquaracer.

Thanks man... you won't regret it. I wrote an article of the Aquaracer. Check it out here.

I've owned it for over a year and I really love it. Great watch indeed.

  6. Its a 2826 some say its even better then the rolex 3135

Yeah, some people also say that Toyota is better than Mercedes. And usually all these people drive Toyotas. :D Might be cheaper to maintain and just as reliable... but "technically" and overall quality-wise... nope.

Whoever says that ETA 2836 is better than Rolex 3135 is full of it. 2836 is definitely NOT in the same league with 3135. The only thing better might be the rotor construction (this according to Ziggy).

  7. Customs is a possibility... but unregistered letter with only a light Oyster bracelet in it. Sounds a bit unlikely... this type of letters have always arrived without problems to me.

@vlydog: Are you from the US? It would be nice if members filled their real location (US, EU, Asia, Australia) below their avatar. It's very handy in threads like this, and also in all kinds of sales/trade threads. :)

  8. Three weeks is a long time, but this type of unregistered letter might take even longer. Difficult to say how to approach this, but I simply don't understand why you shipped an expensive GEN part without any tracking.

Tracking is always necessary for both parties, especially for the seller, as it minimizes the chances of dishonesty... from the receiving end.

Sorry to hear this... and good luck man!

  9. I'd rather just split in two parts. I recall I had that kind of program installed but I don't remember what it was. Most of the video programs are extremely difficult to use... just a simple program that splits avis would suffice (without millions of extra options). :)

  10. Those are horological masterpieces no doubt, thus impossible to replicate accurately. Your best bet is Narikaa, who can source cheap (but nice) Asian versions of such watches.

Personally, I'd love a rep of the Zenith Flyback Rainbow. Even with the wrong subdial spacing, I don't care... love this watch.

  11. Ok, I had to break my "8 watch rule" and ordered a black Explorer II from Eurotimez... to keep my whitey some company. Hey, I tried my best...

The problem is that I simply can't stomach to trade any of the watches anymore... so keeping the addiction in control is only going to be downhill from here.

Hmm, what's next? Maybe the WM9... and FINALLY the BCE? :D
