"I ain't Jewish, I just don't dig on swine, that's all..."

Actually TJ not for you as all 3 meats are pork based.
Ken
To quote Homer Simpson, "A wonderful, magical animal"
I was assured that the meatballs weren't pork, so this is my Sub Concoction:
plain Italian
Meatball marinara
Cheese slices (double)
Grated cheese
Sweetcorn
Onions
Mayo
Toasted
Good eating

I'll have to leave out the swine, but I like the sound of that sub

I remember when stuff advertised for mail order, used to have "Please allow 28 days for delivery" at the bottom How times have changed

I think we can all look back over our lives, and think "If I'd only done..." "If I'd made the move..." knowing that had we made that move, we would have wound up with that 'achievement' (whatever it may be). Definitely one of the more frustrating emotions, the best thing to do, is not dwell

It looks awesome, and the SS of the bracelet and watch looks to be an excellent match

I've got to agree with Ken here, what exactly is your complaint? That they sold something they didn't actually have to hand, but refunded you your money? That's not exactly grounds for a complaint, rather the reverse in fact. They could've just kept your money and kept you hanging on, promising something which never arrived... That would have been cause for complaint. My .2c, is that you leave a factual feedback. State the facts, ie, they didn't have the item, but that they refunded you the money, and let it go. Look at how many people here complain that they pay for goods or services, yet never get what they wanted, and still never get their money back. Look at the Jakub incident... I can understand the frustration of not being able to get the deal you were after, but take a little consolation in the fact that you got your money back to you without hassle Maybe not the best transaction, but far from the worst... Keep it neutral and factual, and there won't be any bad blood. Even if they were to leave you negative feedback (which sellers now can't do anyway), that would be one negative comment, out of how many positive ones? Anyone reading your feedback stats would easily see what happened with a transaction, and know that there was no fault with you

Orange juice cut in half with water is a great electrolyte replacement also. Cut with water to avoid upset stomach. Of course make sure your friend is not allergic to oranges.
Thanks for the advice, I'll pass the information along

Looking good

That's worth a lot more than a thousand What an awesome collection, thanks for sharing
-
Thanks. This 1 is not driven much either. These days, it gets driven mainly to car shows.
You're very welcome I bet it gets a lot of compliments at shows, even if it doesn't see much road time
-
Thanks TJ! Hope you have a great weekend as well.
You're very welcome, and thanks It's going well so far

Brooklands Green with factory hardtop & electronic overdrive - a rare beast, indeed
That's one fine automobile My best friend's dad has an MGB soft-top in British Racing Green under cover in his garage. I don't know if he ever drives it, but it's a nice piece

Rolling V3 this evening.
Then a little fantasy cali tomorrow for church.
Then bust out the UPO on rubber for the park on Sunday afternoon.
Awesome lineup Here's hoping you have a good day

The PO really draws you in, once you have owned one, even if you sell it, you can't get them out of your system. My favourite divers watch by a mile!
You're absolutely right there, PlanetOceanitis is not a curable affliction It's certainly my favorite also, in terms of pure aesthetics, especially the integrated crown guards

I can see the SOH look. Its amazing what a little strap change can do.
Now imagine the watch case/strap 'as is', but with a black Air-King dial (plain 'stick' markers) and a set of 5517 military hands That's what I'm hoping to be able to build
Sporting the PO all weekend;A truly awesome watch I'll definitely have to re-acquire one in the future

Is the t-19 and the t-39 the same crystal with the exception of the t-39 being a super dome?
I want to replace my t-19 with a clark super dome, but wanted to know if I should order a t-39 or?
It is for one of my 7016 Tudor Subs.
I wish I could help, the crystals on my watches are pretty much factory stock (although I burned off the cyclops on the FL crystal)

Thanks!
9/10 of the way there, wny not just go all black NATO?
You're very welcome
I do have a black NATO strap, but I'm one of those people who tends to keep their watch on all the time, bath/shower/swimming etc, and I don't like how NATO straps feel when they get wet, as they take a while to dry, compared to a rubber strap Another reason, is more aesthetic. The mods I have planned for this Sub will hopefully result in something like a Breitling Super Ocean, but with Rolex parts, and the SOH is frequently seen on a rubber strap

Here're my domes
I have a feeling this might be my first 'stack shot' as well

Actually, I own them as I thought, wrongly, I would appreciate them as personally 'functional'. That they would suit me. After a 'test drive', I realized, no, they do not.
Which brings to the conversation how amazing and what a resource that facet of 'replica' is. It gives you the opportunity for more than 2000% mark down to experience a wrist watch in the non-virtual. Towit, I thought, since I registered RWG in '04. how amazing it would be to own a genuine Daytona. I admired them since childhood as my father and all his cronies wore them. I chanced a 16520 and felt ridiculous, given my circle, vocation and station wearing it. I was self conscious regardless and aside of it being a 'replica'. Could you imagine the horror to come to that realization after spending upwards of 25K in a moment of retail hysteria?! YIKES!
Through the RWG experience I have come to realize I am a 'Submariner Man' as I always knew deep down. Perhaps a Sea Dweller, but not the DSSD surely. Vintage as well, the older the better.
As for the Daytona, as I have been given one through legacy, I will wear that proudly with ZERO remorse.
That Daytona really is a thing of beauty, and, as you say, being aquired through legacy, one which you don't need to feel self-conscious about.
I think you're absolutely right about the 'test drive' aspect of reps, it certainly does give that option. The APRO (Not oversized) I bought for a friend, being a good example for me. It's a really nice watch, and I know that he wears it daily and gets a lot of pleasure from it, but personally, I'm not so sure I'd actually want one for myself. I think the lack of a rotating bezel is the thing which puts me off, as they are useful, even if used for purposes other than diving I'm definitely more into the GMTs/Subs/SeaDwellers myself. When I was younger, I used to love chronos, but now, I just like something uncluttered and easy to read
The 'Summer Blue', as may have been mentioned here already is a 'snipe'. A 'Japan Release' only edition, for a short run in the 70's to 80's (ish, it's been a while since I researched, and with freddy around I wouldn't waste my time ). Seldom seen photographed, never have I as a wrist shot, and certainly not on these boards. Sort of like the Triumph Spitfire, or the Saab Sonnet. Merely "meh" automobiles in their day, but now highly sought after.Ahh, this would be like the red SMP... Definitely brings some suspicion to the one worn on Bones...
Think faded jeans, sneaks & a t & the Smurf works.Oh for sure, having seen the one on Bones, I know that it looks like a nice watch, I just done think it would be 'me'. Maybe I'll pick up a really cheap one at some point in the future for the 'test drive', and if it doesn't quite grab me, it can either remain in the 'movie section' of the collection, or be sold on

TJ, nice and clean looking sir.
Thank you, sir Out of the six places I vistited in town (five being AD/jewelers) not one of them sold rubber straps I then had to really scour the net to find such a completely plain strap, as I didn't want anything to take away from the watch itself, I just wanted something functional, smart, and minimalistic
Your 177h is looking awesome

well on his website he says that turnaround is 2weeks usually
To be fair, 'usually' does exclude any unusual circumstances, which leads to the next point:
and theres no movt. he cant repairHowever, as pointed out here,
I will give you all a honest report when i get the blackbird back, i had a nice long conversatiion the other day on thre phone with Michael and i was left feeling confident with him, one of the problems he has facerd and is still trying to work through is the lack of available spairs for A7750s and i am sure that Ziggy also faced this at some time.If there's a shortage of parts, then that is obviously going to impact on repair times, and needs to be taken into account, but, in fairness, it would only be polite of him to let you know that their would be a delay.
for my eod i used another watchmaker(domenico) also in EU and got my watch in 4days!My personal recommendation would be to ask for an update of the status of the watch, and, if the work hasn't begun, then maybe ask what kind of timeline is projected, or request it be returned, and any fees refunded, so you could send it to Domenico instead. It might be a case of the watch being 'in pieces', waiting for a spare part to arrive. Without any input from Michael, it really is all just speculation as to why you have't heard from him. If it is of any comfort, as I said, I had to wait over six months for my 127 to be returned to me, and that was at a watch smith who only operates out of his shop, and doesn't use the internet at all for communication (and rarely uses the phone either ) Best of luck for a successful resolution

@DANI because it s was not a tempus first ! i bought a tempus dial and put it inside, and try 2 different bezel. i choice the brushed one. i not try to make the muss accurate but only one what i like. but IMO all black and tempus are really a must have. and ceramic is very cool to wear, very shyni and no scratch
A custom build? Even more reason for me to like it

I'm not normally too keen on Hublots, but that looks the nuts Not too keen on the RG 2 though... Kinda breaks the theme of the all black... Damn tasty though
